Another good lil mini-interview on Fecal Face. Her namecheck is awesome, and includes King Kong for instance. The Grizzly Bear video should be interesting.

Booooooom! referenced this video recently, which truly is captivating (visually more than musically, for me). And it reminded me of something else, which I’ll tack on afterward.

Not because the music before 5:15 is less important, but because we are all so rushed on our hamster wheels, it’s not realistic to ask anyone to look at this photo for six-odd minutes. Just give those spawn-of-Vampire-Weekend-and-Of-Montreal Dirty Projectors 60 seconds please. The last 60 seconds make the point best, I feel.

Witness the special look. Read the special talk. Hear the special sound. Over at Lost At E Minor.

I’ve been working on a video built from extremely underexposed stills, cranking the life out of the miniscule digital information expressable in them, animating that, and the rest is too much to get into at this point. Anyway, saw this bit in PSFK recently, and had that old familiar feeling…..I want to like it.
Any kind of diorama makes me happy, I am totally cheap that way. But these! Just the right amount of narrative is injected to draw you into the magic.
